What you can explore

The vehicle

Review the expense ratio, fund size, age and distribution policy where available.

Underlying exposure

Inspect holdings, concentration, sectors and valuation metrics. The report identifies data gaps and any proxy used for enrichment.

Market behaviour

Compare momentum, volatility and drawdown without confusing an ETF with an operating company.

Portfolio fit

Optional AI explains the exposure, risks and comparable alternatives; it does not replace your asset-allocation decisions.

Separate the fund from what it owns

An ETF is both a vehicle and a portfolio of underlying exposures. Review costs, size and distribution policy alongside concentration, sectors and available holdings. A low expense ratio does not remove currency, market or concentration risk. Compare the same share class and listing when you check the issuer's factsheet.

Example: two funds with similar names

Two broad-equity ETFs can follow different indices, distribute income differently or concentrate in different holdings. Start with the exposure you want to investigate, then inspect each report's structure and available valuation data. Where the application uses a proxy for enrichment, treat that proxy as context rather than as the exact portfolio of the UCITS fund.

Check the report against the issuer

Holdings and fund characteristics change. Use the report as a research starting point, then verify the current factsheet and key information document. Timing and historical drawdown describe market behaviour; they do not establish whether a fund fits your investment horizon or circumstances.

Questions about this tool

Does the report include every UCITS ETF?
The screener uses a curated universe. Other recognised symbols may be searchable, but coverage, expense ratios and holdings can be incomplete. The report should be read with those limits.
Is the cheapest ETF automatically the best?
No. Cost is one input alongside exposure, concentration, structure, currency and trading considerations. The tool does not make a personal suitability assessment.

Methodology, sources and authorship

Astro Trader is developed by Víctor Balcells. The stock model weights valuation (40%), quality and trend (30%), and timing (30%). Risk filters and data coverage accompany the result. Crypto and ETFs have their own models; exploratory cycles do not enter the fundamental stock score.

Market data comes from external providers, including Yahoo Finance; insider evidence links to SEC filings. Consult each report's dates, original sources and coverage: a missing observation is not a confirmed zero. AI text is generated commentary, not a statement written or verified by the author.
